Professor John McAdoo
Professor John McAdoo is a Consultant Anaesthetist at Cork University Hospital and Medical Director of the Application of Science to Simulation Education Research and Training (ASSERT) for Health Centre at UCC. John is a Council Member of the Irish Medical Council (IMC) and a member of the Professional Competence Committee and the Professional Development Committee of the IMC. He is a Past President of the College of Anaesthetists (Ireland) (2006-2009). He is a former Member of the Executive Management Board of Cork University Hospital 2001 to 2004 and was Chairman of the Department of Anaesthesia Cork University Hospital 1994 to 2001 and 2004 to 2005. He was also Chairman of the Day Procedures Unit Development Committee in Cork University Hospital from project inception to completion. His research interests include simulation in undergraduate and post-graduate medical education and training.
